Gbit Tech LLC is a California C-7 licensed low-voltage contractor (C-7 #1050088) and UniFi Certified Partner, working across LA Metro since 2019. The San Fernando Valley is home ground for us: Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Burbank, Glendale and the North Valley.
Low voltage covers everything that runs on data and PoE instead of line power: security cameras, door readers and intercoms, Wi-Fi access points, network racks, and the copper and fiber that connect them. We design it, pull the cable, mount and configure the hardware, and hand over a labeled system you own outright, with no monthly fees to us.
What we install
One contractor for the whole low-voltage scope.
Security cameras
UniFi Protect cameras recording to a recorder on site. Entrances, driveways, parking and loading areas, with no cloud subscription required to keep footage.
Access control and intercoms
UniFi Access readers, intercoms and gate hubs, with electric strikes or maglocks matched to the door you already have.
Wi-Fi
UniFi access points placed room by room and floor by floor, cabled back to one rack instead of meshed.
Structured cabling and fiber
CAT6 for cameras, CAT6A for data drops and access points, fiber for long runs and detached buildings. Every run labeled and tested.
What Valley properties tend to need
- Ranch homes in the flats: single-story attics make cable runs easy, but they get very hot in summer, so racks and recorders go in a closet or garage, not the attic.
- Hillside homes south of Ventura Boulevard: several levels on a narrow lot, detached garages and long driveways. Each floor gets its own access point, and far buildings often get fiber or a wireless bridge.
- Offices and shops along Ventura Boulevard and in Van Nuys and Burbank: a clean network closet, cameras on the doors, a reader for staff and a guest network kept apart from the work network.
- Light industrial and warehouse space: long runs, high ceilings and big open floors, where cable length limits and camera placement matter most.
- Condos and apartment buildings: common walls, HOA rules and finished ceilings. We plan the cable path first and use surface raceway where opening walls is not an option.
How a Valley job runs
It starts with a site walk. We look at where the internet comes in, where the rack can live, how cable can reach each camera, door and access point, and what is already in the walls that is worth keeping. Older Valley buildings often have analog camera coax or unlabeled phone cable, and some of it can be reused.
You get a written scope with the hardware listed, then we install, configure and walk you through the apps. Hardware is bought direct from Ubiquiti at no markup. For more detail on the pieces, see security cameras, access control, Wi-Fi installation and structured cabling.
Want a ballpark first?
We do not publish rates because every property is different. Sight lets you sketch your property, place cameras and get a ballpark range in a few minutes. For recording time, the storage planner shows how many days each recorder holds. When you are ready, request an estimate and we will scope it on site.

Not from us. Cameras record to a recorder on site and you own the hardware. Your internet provider bill stays as it is.
It depends on the property, so we price each project by scope. Sketch your property in Sight for a ballpark, read what drives UniFi installation cost, then request an estimate.
