UniFi Installer for Bel Air and Beverly Crest Estates

Gated entries, winding private drives and several buildings on one lot. Estates in Bel Air and Beverly Crest need a system planned as a whole.

Low voltage in Bel Air

A property in Bel Air or Beverly Crest is rarely one building. A main house, guest house, pool house, garages and sometimes a gatehouse can sit across a hillside, with a long private drive linking them to the street.

That layout drives the design. We decide where the main rack goes, how each building connects, how the gate intercom and front door are managed and where cameras are needed to cover the approach. Then we install and test it, and hand you a system that is documented and yours.

On the ground

Bel Air and Beverly Crest, canyon by canyon

Bel Air's main roads, Bel Air Road, Stone Canyon Road and Roscomare Road, wind up from Sunset Boulevard through narrow canyons. Many homes sit well back behind walls, hedges and gates, and the house you want to cover may not be visible from the street.

Beverly Crest runs between Beverly Glen Boulevard and Coldwater Canyon Avenue, up to Mulholland Drive. The hills are steep, and many lots drop away from the road, so a gate at the street can be far above the house.

Much of Bel Air and Beverly Crest is mapped as a high fire hazard area. That is one reason backup power for the rack and the cameras, and a second internet path, are worth discussing before a system goes in.

01 / WHAT PROPERTIES HERE NEED

What we plan for in Bel Air

01

Long drives and gates

A gate far from the house requires conduit, power and network to reach it. We plan that run, choose the intercom and gate hub, and make the camera at the gate record to the same system as the rest. The gate operator itself stays with your gate company.

02

Several buildings on a slope

Copper has distance limits, and a hillside with retaining walls and landscaping makes long cable runs hard. We use fiber for long runs between buildings, and run conduit in advance wherever a trench is open.

03

Wi-Fi through stone and glass

Thick walls, large glazing and multiple floors affect signal. We place access points floor by floor, add outdoor units for terraces and pools, and offer a survey where results need to be confirmed.

04

Staff and household access

Estates have family, staff and vendors coming and going. Time-limited codes and credentials, and a log of entries, make access manageable without handing out keys.

02 / TYPICAL JOBS

Typical UniFi jobs in Bel Air

01

A street gate with the house far below

A UniFi Access intercom at the gate and a gate hub connected to your existing gate operator, a camera on the approach, and a network path down the drive to the house. The pathway is planned first because it decides everything else.

02

A guest house, pool house or cabana

Fiber or conduit from the main rack, its own access point, and a camera on the path between buildings so the whole property reads as one system.

03

A rear terrace with a city view

An outdoor access point on the terrace, a camera covering the slope behind the pool, and indoor access points placed away from the large glass walls so the signal does not have to cross them.

FAQ
Do you do the conduit and trenching for a gate?

We scope the pathway as its own line item in the estimate, because it is usually the part the equipment list does not show. We walk the property to plan it.

Will you keep the project private?

Yes. We do not publish client names or addresses, and we keep project details private.

Can the whole property run on one app?

Cameras, doors and the network are each managed in their own UniFi application. We set them up together and show you how to use each one.

Will the gate intercom work with an older gate operator?

The UniFi gate hub triggers the operator through a dry contact relay, the same kind of input many wall buttons and remotes use. We check the operator at the walkthrough. Anything wrong with the operator itself is a job for your gate company.
