Do UniFi cameras need a monthly subscription?
No. UniFi Protect has no licensing or subscription fees: recording, AI detections and remote access run on a UniFi console you own.
You buy the cameras, a console and a drive once. Cloud backup is optional and goes to storage you choose, such as Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive.
