Hillside Home UniFi Protect Cameras on Posts
A hillside home in Greater LA got UniFi Protect cameras on black posts set into the shrubs and trees, fed by Cat6 and a UniFi switch in a weatherproof enclosure on a block wall.

A hillside home in Greater Los Angeles needed UniFi Protect cameras out in the landscaping, not only on the house.
The property is wooded and planted, so the cameras went on black posts set into the shrubs, hedges and trees.
We installed UniFi Protect cameras on the posts and ran the cabling to a UniFi switch in a weatherproof enclosure mounted on a block wall.
What stood in the way.
- Camera positions out in the landscaping, away from the house.
- Cable that had to reach each post without being left exposed.
- Equipment outdoors that needed protection from weather.
- Cameras that had to blend into hedges, shrubs and trees.
How we solved it.
Camera runs are Cat6, our standard for cameras. The UniFi switch sits in a weatherproof enclosure on a block wall, and PVC conduit protects the cable where it runs up the wall.
