Recessed Media Enclosure Rebuild with UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber
A Greater LA home had a recessed media enclosure packed with loose network cable and coax. Gbit Tech rebuilt it around a UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber and a UniFi switch with labeled patch cables.

A homeowner in Greater Los Angeles had a recessed media enclosure that was not ready for equipment.
When we opened it, network cable hung from the top and looped at the bottom, and coax cables with loose connectors hung in the middle.
We rebuilt the enclosure around a UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber and a UniFi switch, and labeled the patch cables.
What stood in the way.
- A recessed enclosure full of loose network cable and coax.
- A gateway, switch and power adapters that all had to fit in one wall enclosure.
- Cable that needed to be tied down and labeled so it can be followed later.
How we solved it.
The UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber went in as the gateway, with a UniFi switch below it. The cable is tied down along the edges of the enclosure and the power adapters are on a strip at the bottom. The patch cables are labeled near the connector.
Key components installed:

What changed.
Cable bundles run along the edges, the gateway and switch sit in the middle and power is at the bottom. The patch cables are labeled, so whoever opens the enclosure next can follow a run without guessing.
